LGBT rights in Italy : ウィキペディア英語版 | LGBT rights in Italy
Lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender (LGBT) persons in Italy face legal challenges not experienced by non-LGBT residents. Both male and female same-sex sexual activity has been legal since 1890, but same-sex couples and households headed by same-sex couples are not eligible for the same legal protections available to opposite-sex couples. Transgender people have been allowed to legally change their legal gender since 1982. Although discrimination regarding sexual orientation in employment has been banned since 2003, no other anti-discrimination laws regarding sexual orientation or gender identity and expression have been enacted. Public opinion on homosexuality has generally been regarded as socially liberal, with a recent poll in 2014 indicating that a majority of Italians support same-sex marriage. == Issues ==
